Our latest Quiz Evening was a barn-filling triumph.

 

Ably organised by Charles Pearson, assisted by Jan, the evening was thoroughly entertaining. Some 40 ‘quizzers’ attended, at £5 a head, meaning the barn was so full we actually had to turn some away! Tables filled with ‘self-provided’ refreshments, as punters puzzled over the first round, pictures of USA First Ladies.

There were 10 rounds in all with topics including News, Sitcoms, Trivia Crossword and Trick Questions! Teams competed for a Box of Mixed Drinks, and one team won the award for best name.

Charles agreed there were too many difficult/specialist questions, so next time, hopefully in early winter, there will be a fairer mix. With an overall profit of £190, a full barn and smiling faces all round, the ‘Quiz Evening’ was a real achievement.
