We are delighted to be participating in this year's Heritage Open Days festival of history and culture, bringing people together to celebrate heritage, community and history.
Come and find out what life was like in the village and farm of West Blatchington when the windmill was in its full glory. Explore the chronology of milling with examples of its development through the ages.The history of the windmill is presented in a series of photographs together with tools and implements used in the milling process.
Explore exhibitions of historical and local interest spread over six levels inside the building.
To tie in with the 2026 festival theme of 'Everyday Histories' which explores stories of working lives, you can discover more about the families that lived in the village and worked on the farm and mill.
Refreshments will be available in the barn and there will be some sales tables outside on the green.
