National Mills Day
......on another fine day.
This annual event fell on Sunday 15 May this year and was a great success with 129 visitors through the mill and gross takings of £608.
The mill again looked splendid in the sunshine, especially as City Parks have finally cleared the shrubbery in front of the mill providing plenty of room for the festivities. Thanks to Councillor Dawn Barnet for her help.
Crowds were entertained by The Black Powder Morris dancers who have promised to return!
The new season has also seen an addition to the sales counter which has proved very popular. This is an aluminium keyring engraved with a silhouette of the mill which is available in three sizes. It is similarly very pleasing to report that the DVDs advertised in the last newsletter are also selling well.
